Caramelized Onion & Chive Dip

(Vegetarian, GF)

Caramelized Onion & Chive Dip

  • 2 cups Yellow Onion, diced
  • 2 TB Unsalted Butter
  • 1/2 cup Chives, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/2 Lemon, juiced


  1. Heat a large pot to medium low heat.
  2. Add in butter and onions and season with kosher salt.
  3. Allow the onions to cook down and caramelize for about 25-35 minutes.
  4. Every 5 minutes, add a splash of water to release any brown bits on the bottom of the pan.
  5. Remove the onions to a mixing bowl and let them cool down.
  6. Once cooled, add in remaining ingredients and combine.
  7. Serve the dip with potato chips.
