Chicken Fajitas with Cilantro Lime Crema


This recipe is such a satisfying meal perfect for any night. Serve it up with some homemade flour tortillas and don’t forget the cilantro lime crema.

Chicken Fajitas
  • 2 pounds of Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs
  • 1 Yellow Onion, sliced
  • 3 Bell Peppers, sliced
  • 2 TB Chili Powder
  • 1 TB Ground Cumin
  • 1 TB Paprika
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 2 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Crushed Red Pepper
Cilantro Lime Crema
  • 8 oz Sour Cream
  • 1 Jalapeno, chopped
  • 1 cup Cilantro, loosely packed
  • 3 Scallions, chopped
  • 2 Limes, juiced
  • 1 Garlic Clove
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt


Chicken Fajitas
  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Combine spices and sprinkle over the chicken.
  3. Heat a pan to medium-high heat with some oil and sear chicken for a minute on each side.
  4. Transfer chicken to a tin foil lined baking sheet and finish cooking in the oven for about 7-10 minutes (internal temperature reaches 165F).
  5. Add peppers and onion to the pan, season with salt, and sauté for about 7-10 minutes.
  6. Once the chicken is finished, allow it to rest for about 5 minutes.
  7. Slice chicken and serve with peppers, onions, crema, and flour tortillas.
  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender.
