Pork and Chive Wontons in Sesame Chili Oil

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Chives, chopped
  • 1/2 pound Ground Pork
  • 1/2 inch knob Ginger, grated
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, grated
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1 TB Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 TB Shaoxing Wine
  • 1 Package of Twin Marquis Shanghai Style Wonton Wrappers
  • Chili Sesame Oil (Recipe link here)

Instructions

  1. Combine chives, pork, ginger, garlic, cornstarch, salt, soy sauce and shaoxing wine.
  2. To form wontons, take only a few out at a time, keeping the others under a lightly damp paper towel to prevent from drying out.
  3. Place about a tablespoon of filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper.
  4. Wet the border of the wrapper with water and seal the edges to form a triangle. Then bring the corners together and seal with a little water.
  5. Repeat this process until all the wontons are formed.
  6. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
  7. Boil wontons, working in batches for 5 minutes.
  8. Strain dumplings and serve with sesame chili oil.
