Everything Bagel Seasoned Focaccia

This bread is so soft and fluffy with a crispy olive oil coated crust. The everything bagel seasoning make its so flavorful, perfect for avocado toast, egg sandwiches, or just eaten on its own.

Everything Bagel Seasoned Focaccia

Recipe adapted from Food Network
Prep time: 2 H & 15 MCook time: 25 MinTotal time: 2 H & 40 M

  • 1 3/4 cup Warm Water
  • 1 Package Active Dry Yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1 TB Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 5 cups AP Flour
  • 1 cup Olive Oil, divided, plus a little extra
  • Everything Bagel Seasoning (amount to taste)

  1. Add yeast, sugar and water to bowl of a stand mixer.
  2. Let yeast bubble up after a few minutes then add in flour, salt and 1/2 cup of olive oil.
  3. Knead until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Drizzle a little bit of olive oil in the bottom of a large bowl and place the dough in.
  5. Cover the bowl with a dish towel and proof until the dough has doubled in size. About 1 hour.
  6. Punch down dough and divide in half.
  7. Pour 1/4 cup olive oil between 2 8x8 baking dishes (or any other dish works).
  8. Sprinkle the everything bagel seasoning liberally on the bottom of both pans.
  9. Spread dough into each pan and then flip the dough so that the olive oil coats both sides.
  10. Sprinkle more everything bagel seasoning on top (as much as you like).
  11. Dig your fingers into the dough to create the holes that focaccia has.
  12. Cover the pans and allow to rise again until doubled in size. About another hour.
  13. Heat oven to 425F and bake dough for 25 minutes.
  14. Remove the bread from the pans carefully and allow to cool on a rack. Leaving the dough in the pans for too long will create steam and the crust will get soft.

You don't have to divide the dough, and can just bake it on one large pan. I like the crust around the edges, so baking the dough in two pans maximizes that.
