Gochujang Marinated Skirt Steak

This marinade requires just a few ingredients, but creates a sweet, spicy and tangy steak perfect for any weeknight meal.

Gochujang Marinated Skirt Steak

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds Skirt Steak
  • 5 TB Soy Sauce
  • 1/3 cup Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 5 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp Ginger, grated
  • 1 Bunch Scallions, chopped
  • 2 tsp Sesame Oil
  • Avocado Oil
  • Kosher Salt
  • Sesame Seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Combine soy sauce, gochujang, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and scallions in a bowl.
  2. Coat the skirt steak in the marinade and cover in the fridge for at least an hour or up to 8 hours.
  3. Bring a pan to high heat with some oil.
  4. Season the steak lightly with salt.
  5. Sear the steak for about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Allow the steak to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
