Instructions
Buttermilk Biscuits
Honey Butter
- Combine all ingredients together.
Fried Chicken and Assembly
- Combine buttermilk and spices in a large container.
- Add in chicken and marinate in the fridge for 2 hours to overnight.
- Heat oil in a large pot to 350F.
- Combine corn starch and flour.
- Take each piece of chicken and scrunch the chicken into the corn starch/flour mixture with your hands. You want to create as many crevasses as possible for the mixture to cover the chicken. This is what gets an extra crispy piece of fried chicken.
- Fry the chicken in the oil until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165F. About 5-7 minutes. Season with kosher salt once they come out of the fryer.
- Cut the biscuits in half and spread on honey butter, then place the chicken down and drizzle with more honey.
